Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has reportedly been offered a deal that will see him pocket £400,000 per week after tax by Real Madrid.

According to an exclusive report by The Sun, Real Madrid have taken another major step towards getting Eden Hazard onboard at the Bernabeu in the summer transfer window. The La Liga heavyweights have tabled a deal worth £400,000 per week after tax to the Belgian in order to prise him away from Chelsea.

That Real Madrid have been courting Eden Hazard has been an open secret for quite some time. In fact, it was touted that the Belgian international would leave Chelsea last summer, when he had hinted that he is open to the idea of departing from Stamford Bridge. But, a move never materialized.

The subsequent season has seen Hazard being one of the best players on show in the Premier League. The 28-year-old has single-handedly led the charge for Chelsea’s top four bid, with a splendid tally of 16 goals and 13 assists to boast for his efforts this term.

With the player enjoying his most productive club campaign till date, Real Madrid have made overtures to land him once again. Chelsea though, have been determined to secure the long-term future of Hazard, whose current contract runs out at the end of next season. However, there has been no development on the renewal front, whatsoever.

As far as Real Madrid are concerned, the addition of the star attacker could be beneficial on a couple of accounts. That the team is in need of more players to chip in with goals, other than Karim Benzema, would not be lost on Zinedine Zidane.

The Real Madrid boss though, is also in need of boosting his side’s creative options, with both Luka Modric and Toni Kroos not performing anywhere near their best levels. To that end, Hazard is a viable target for Los Blancos, with recent reports suggesting that they are closing in on capturing the Chelsea superstar.

The Blues have also been urged by former player Mario Melchiot to cash in on Hazard, should they receive a triple-figure bid for him. As far as the player himself is concerned, Real Madrid are offering him terms worth £20 million per year plus bonuses in order to lure him away from the West London club.

The aforementioned pay package means Hazard would be pocketing a cool £400,000 per week after tax, far surpassing his current wages at Chelsea. The Premier League giants have also made peace with the idea of parting ways with their talisman, as per the report, meaning Real Madrid are on the verge of landing him.

It now remains to be seen if the Spanish outfit indeed successfully snap up Eden Hazard, whose time at Chelsea seems to be nearing its end.
