Real Madrid are reportedly planning a triple-figure move to swoop Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic away from Serie A champions Juventus.

According to a report by TransferMarketWeb, Zinedine Zidane has set his sights towards towards of his former clubs as a player to bolster his midfield in the summer transfer window. Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic has emerged as a target for Real Madrid, who are plotting a €100 million move to snap him up from the Serie A champions.

Miralem Pjanic has made quite a name for himself during his time in Serie A over the last eight years. He first grew in stature at AS Roma, where he spent five productive campaigns. But, it is upon making the shock move to Juventus in the summer of 2016 that the player has started being regarded as one of the best creative midfielders in the world.

On course to amass his third successive Serie A title with Juventus, the 28-year-old has played a key role in his side’s domination in the Italian top-flight. His performances have invariably caught the eye, with Real Madrid interested in signing the Bosnian international in the summer transfer window.

The 2018-19 season has been quite a tumultuous one for the most part for Real Madrid, with Zinedine Zidane’s return to the helm being a rare positive moment. The manager though, is intent on revamping his squad so as to mount a sustained challenge across all three fronts next season.

To that end, midfield seems to be a priority, among other departments, and for good reason. Luka Modric has not been his domineering best in the middle of the park, with age seemingly catching up to him. To add to the midfield woes, Toni Kroos too has been unable to perform consistently.

With both the stalwarts being far from their best, bolstering the creative options is rightly imperative for Real Madrid ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window. Pjanic is thus, a viable target to pursue, with Zidane naming him as one of his top targets.

The report suggests that Real Madrid are seriously pursuing a move for the 28-year-old, with a triple-figure bid in the works. A €100 million move would make the Bosnian their most expensive midfield acquisition, with the player potentially an able long-term successor for Modric.

Los Blancos though, are likely to have a battle on their hands to take him off Juventus’ books, with the Serie A champions unwilling to let the player leave in the summer transfer window. And, with the player also admittedly rejecting a move to Manchester United to remain with the Bianconeri, it is unclear as to whether Real Madrid can convince him to leave.

For now, it appears as if Real Madrid will launch the offensive for Miralem Pjanic in the summer transfer window, and it remains to be seen if he is one of their first big name signings in Zinedine Zidane’s second spell in-charge of the club.
