PSG have reportedly join Bayern Munich in pursuit of Chelsea wonderkid Callum Hudson-Odoi, who is determined to depart from Stamford Bridge.

According to a report by The Sun, Callum Hudson-Odoi is intent on calling it quits at Chelsea in the summer transfer window, having grown frustrated over a lack of game time. The English prodigy’s decision comes in the wake of the emergence of interest from PSG, who have joined Bayern Munich in his pursuit.

The future of Hudson-Odoi has been a burning topic at Chelsea, ever since the attacking prospect started being linked with Bayern Munich in the January transfer window. While the 18-year-old ultimately ended up staying put at Stamford Bridge, his frustrations have continued this month.

Game time has been hard to come by for Hudson-Odoi, who has only managed 19 minutes on the pitch since the transfer window closed, with Maurizio Sarri’s decision to leave him on the bench and introduce Davide Zappacosta, a defender, instead was nothing short of questionable.

The report claims that Hudson-Odoi’s frustrations have boiled over, and having previously submitted a transfer request to seal a January move away from Chelsea, he is now determined to call it quits at the Premier League club come summer. And, the player now has a new suitor, in addition to Bayern Munich, in his pursuit – PSG.

The interest from PSG is a little surprising, considering they have two of the best players in the world in Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to play out wide. In addition to Neymar and Mbappe, the likes of Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler can also play on the flanks, meaning it is hard to see where Hudson-Odoi will fit in the squad.

As far as Bayern are concerned, Hudson-Odoi will not have nearly as much competition at Allianz Arena as he would at PSG, with Arjen Robben set to leave the club in the summer and Franck Ribery in the twilight of his career. Apart from the world-class veteran duo, Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry are the only other wingers at Niko Kovac’s disposal.

Hudson-Odoi would thus, ideally have an easier time establishing himself as a regular at Bayern than he would at PSG. For now, as per The Sun, what remains certain is that the 18-year-old is intent on moving away from Chelsea in the summer, with Bayern Munich pondering a fresh bid for him, and PSG also joining the race to sign him.

It now remains to be seen if Callum Hudson-Odoi can finally get his wish to leave Chelsea, with the Blues’ attempts to keep him at Stamford Bridge likely to have been dented. And, if the report is anything to go by, Bayern Munich and PSG will fancy their chances of snapping him up.
