Chelsea starlet and Bayern Munich target Callum Hudson-Odoi is reportedly wanted by Italian champions Juventus as well as German outfit RB Leipzig.
Chelsea’s talented academy product Callum Hudson-Odoi is a man in demand in the ongoing transfer window, as Juventus and RB Leipzig have joined German champions Bayern Munich in the race to sign him up, as per a report from Sky Sports.
The 18-year-old attacker has been regarded as one of the finest young talents to have come through the youth ranks at Chelsea in recent times and has been tipped for a very bright future.
So far in the 2018-19 campaign, Hudson-Odoi has featured seven times for Maurizio Sarri’s side across all competitions, scoring one goal and setting up three more. The Englishman was in his elements this past Saturday, as Chelsea eased past Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.
However, it is believed the the teenage attacker is frustrated over the lack of minutes coming his way, leading to speculation that he could be on his way out of the club in January.
With his contract set to expire in eighteen months, coupled with the acquisition of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund in a €64 million deal, Chelsea are also understood to be willing to cash in on their academy starlet.
Bayern Munich have been aggressively pursuing the signature of Hudson-Odoi, as they look towards building a team for the future. Arjen Robben has already announced that he will be leaving the Bavarians at the end of the season, while Franck Ribery too is in the twilight of his career.
The German champions do have options in their ranks with the likes of Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman, but remain interested in strengthening further in the position by signing Hudson-Odoi. To that end, Die Roten were reported to have made a £30 million offer to the winger, which was rejected by Chelsea, who are demanding £40 million for the teenager
Bayern are not the only club interested in landing Hudson-Odoi, however, with fellow Bundesliga rivals RB Leipzig also looking at the England youth international, while Serie A Champions Juventus too have also entered the race for his signing.
The Bianconeri are preparing for the departure of Brazilian winger Douglas Costa, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United. And, with Mario Mandzukic not getting any younger, Juve are eyeing a move for the supremely talented Hudson-Odoi, who can play anywhere across the frontline.
With Pulisic set to arrive at Chelsea next season and the Blues also reportedly pursuing PSV Eindhoven’s Hirving Lozano, it does seem like Hudson-Odoi’s future lies away from the West London outfit. But, it remains to be seen if the teenage sensation joins Bayern Munich or if the German champions are beaten to his signature.
