Tottenham are reportedly keen on Bradley Dack, who has had a brilliant start to the 2018-19 Championship campaign with Blackburn Rovers.

Bradley Dack’s blitz of a start to the 2018-19 Championship campaign has earned him the glaring attention of Premier League giants Tottenham, according to Express. Spurs are reportedly plotting a January move for the Blackburn Rovers star.

24-year-old Dack is not a household name by any means. The player was struggling in the lower leagues and enjoyed his best years after joining Gillingham as a youth player. After amassing 160 appearances for the League One side, he was brought in by Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2017.

Dack starred in the promotion-clinching campaign for Blackburn, with 18 goals and 9 assists to his name in League One. And, the 24-year-old has not halted his march by any means, continuing his form into the Championship. Dack currently boasts of 6 goals and 2 assists in 10 league appearances. His performances are turning heads, chief among them being that of Tottenham.

Spurs have been looking for an alternative to Dele Alli in the central attacking position to provide more competition to the star. Mauricio Pochettino had earmarked Jack Grealish for the said role. But, Daniel Levy’s aggressive negotiating tactics saw Grealish stay put at Aston Villa and sign a new long-term deal at the club.

Even though Tottenham have steadied after a slow start to the 2018-19 Premier League campaign, Mauricio Pochettino will be looking to rectify his and the club’s mistakes in the transfer market.

Spurs will have to act quickly if they are to nab Dack before his price rises. Gareth Southgate has reportedly been keeping tabs on Dack’s rise. The England senior team manager was even in the stands during Blackburn vs Derby County to gather more information on the 24-year-old.

Should Dack receive a call-up or other clubs come in for the 24-year-old, Tottenham will find themselves in a predicament different but equally difficult as in the case of Jack Grealish.

Although, Bradley Dack has clearly stated that he will not push for a move away from Blackburn Rovers. Should the club accept any bid(s), the 24-year-old will then accept the club’s decision and decide accordingly.

Dack’s rise has not been a steadfast one like Dele Alli. But, he could find himself playing alongside or even competing with the fellow Englishman for a spot in the Tottenham starting eleven. All of it depends on Spurs and their ability to convince Blackburn to let go of the 24-year-old.
