Neymar reportedly prefers a switch to Arsenal or Chelsea over Manchester United and Manchester City, if he decides to make his way to Premier League

If an exclusive report by Daily Express is to be believed, Neymar would prefer moving to either Arsenal or Chelsea instead of the Manchester clubs, as he would like to live in London if he ever made the switch to the Premier League. The PSG superstar though, is likelier to join Real Madrid than make his way to England.

Neymar has been one of the stalwarts of world football ever since he was at Santos. But, upon moving to Barcelona, the Brazilian international hasn’t just take his career to the next level, but also gone on to enjoy one of the great modern day club careers, having already won every trophy on offer in domestic and European football.

At PSG last season, following his shock world record transfer, Neymar was an instant superstar, winning a treble in his maiden campaign. But, the summer that ensued saw him being linked with a move to Real Madrid, with the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City showing interest as well.

However, the report goes on to suggest that Arsenal and Chelsea would stand in good stead if Neymar decided to make a switch to the Premier League. The Brazilian international would prefer living in London instead of moving to Manchester, although the London clubs haven’t shown any interest in him, yet.

What might hold them back is the fact that PSG would ask for a fee well over the €222 million they paid to sign Neymar this summer. While the two Manchester clubs do possess the kind of financial might to shell out Les Parisiens’ asking price, Arsenal and Chelsea do not, having largely focused on economical deals in recent transfer windows.

But, it will be interesting to see if either of the London-based clubs will look to take advantage of Neymar’s preference of the British capital. While it is not known if Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United or Manchester City will launch the offensive for him, it goes without saying that the 26-year-old will be a colossal addition to those clubs.

For now though, Real Madrid are the heavy favourites to sign the Brazilian international, if he ends up leaving PSG. But, an offer from Chelsea or Arsenal will definitely make things interesting, although the Manchester clubs will still aim to persuade Neymar to choose the Northwest, provided they retain their interest in him.
