Teenage sensation Ryan Sessegnon has been linked with a host of big clubs, including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in recent months.

Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon says he is fully focused on playing for the Cottagers, amid transfer speculation linking him with a move away from Craven Cottage, as per reports from Sky Sports.

The teenager burst onto the scene back in 2016, at a tender age of 16 years, and has established himself as a key member in Slavisa Jokanovic’s side in the past couple of seasons. Sessegnon scored 15 goals and notched up 6 assists in the EFL Championship last year as Fulham clinched promotion back to the Premier League via the play-offs, overcoming Aston Villa 1-0 at Wembley.

His performances led to him being named Championship Player of the Season and have attracted the attention of a number of English bigwigs including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, while European giants Barcelona and PSG were also credited with interest at some point of time.

And Sessegnon admitted he was aware of the speculations, but claimed he was completely focused on performing for the Cottagers. “You always see little bits and bobs when teams are linked with you, but I was always staying focused on playing for Fulham,” he said to Sky Sports.

“That’s my main focus – just getting my head down and playing for Fulham. Of course as a young player, when you get linked to these clubs playing Champions League football, it’s always flattering.”

The England youth international still has two years left on his contract with the London outfit, but there have been rumours circulating about the player being close to signing an extension. However, Sessegnon denied those claims, saying: “I’m not aware of anything right now. I’m just playing and seeing how it goes.”

Having started out as a left-back, the 18-year old has made a name for himself in an advanced role on the left-flank. Known for his blistering pace and attacking play, Sessegnon made his Premier League debut last weekend, but failed to inspire Fulham to a victory, as they were beaten 2-0 by Crystal Palace in their season opener.

A permanent move away from Craven Cottage to another Premier League team is not a possibility at the moment, with the English transfer window closing last week.

With Manchester United signing another young and promising full-back Diogo Dalot this summer, their interest in Sessegnon does seem to have quietened of late.

However, a transfer to Tottenham in the near future remains a possibility, with Danny Rose being strongly linked with an exit from the North London club. For now, Sessegnon will be looking to make a strong impression, when Fulham face Spurs on Saturday.
