Liverpool have reportedly made the first move in their pursuit of Christian Pulisic, who has been made available by Borussia Dortmund.

According to an exclusive report from Twitter ITK account The Firm, Liverpool have made the first move in their pursuit of Christian Pulisic. The United States international has been on the Reds’ radar for a long time and it seems Jurgen Klopp is ready to bring him to Anfield.

The Firm is an expert in breaking news stories related to Bundesliga. The ITK account has been credited with breaking several transfers, particularly related to Liverpool. Liverpool’s deals for Naby Keita and Alisson were reported by the Bundesliga expert, who has been making a name for their reliability.

The news of Liverpool moving for Pulisic comes shortly after reports of Borussia Dortmund softening their stance on the United States international’s availability. The Bundesliga club have reportedly made the youngster available for a price of £62 million, with Liverpool and Chelsea rumoured to be the suitors.

Liverpool seem well stacked in the attacking department, having recently signed Xherdan Shaqiri to beef up their wide options. But, this seems to have something to do with their botched pursuit of Nabil Fekir. The Reds seem to be targeting Christian Pulisic as an alternative to the Frenchman.

While Liverpool have always been interested in the youngster, Pulisic’s performance in the friendly between the Reds and Dortmund seems to have made Jurgen Klopp’s mind. The German admitted to being an admirer of the youngster’s abilities and his brace will only heighten the feeling.

The Firm have not mentioned a fee or whether the move from Liverpool is in fact a bid or just initiation of talks between the clubs. But, with Dortmund ready to listen to offers for Christian Pulisic, it looks like a deal could be in the works to facilitate the player’s move to the Premier League.

Chelsea are seen as one of the suitors. But, the Blues seem more focused on the transfer sagas involving Thibaut Courtois and Willian. If the Brazilian does leave though, this could open up a room within the first-team for Pulisic, with Chelsea even having the ability to offer regular football, something Liverpool will not be able to, in all likeliness.

Thus, Liverpool will have to move fast in order to secure Christian Pulisic, should they intend to. The Reds will look to bargain a cheaper fee than the reported asking price of £62 million. More developments should follow soon.
