Real Madrid are reportedly willing to include Marco Asensio in a deal to land Eden Hazard from Chelsea this summer.

According to a report by Spanish publication Don Balon, Chelsea have asked for Marco Asensio to be part of any deal that sees Eden Hazard join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. The report further goes on to suggest that Los Blancos consider the Spaniard to be expendable and are willing to include him in a player-plus-cash deal.

Asensio has been hailed as the future talisman of Spanish football for some years now. The player’s rise at Real Madrid has only ended up enhancing the belief. But, while the youngster is highly regarded across the world, his struggle to become a regular fixture in the first-team setup has reportedly left him frustrated.

As a result, there have been suggestions that Asensio could scour a possible Real Madrid exit this summer. As it happens, the 22-year-old could be part of a deal that helps Los Blancos finally secure the services of long-time target, Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard.

Real Madrid’s interest in Hazard is well documented. That the Belgium captain has even hinted towards his possible Chelsea exit this summer only seeks to give more impetus to the European champions to quickly seal the deal. But, the presence of Barcelona in the race to sign Hazard will surely have given way to some uneasiness at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid though, could have an ace up their sleeves in their bid to sign the Chelsea superstar. Marco Asensio, who has previously been linked with the Blues, might just be on his way to Stamford Bridge to replace Hazard in a player-plus-cash deal. And, the move could be ideal for all parties involved.

Hazard and Real Madrid will get the move that they both have been eager to complete. Chelsea will have a promising long-term replacement for the 27-year-old, who could fit well in Maurizio Sarri’s new system, while also securing a big-money sum to reinvest in the transfer market.

As far as Asensio is concerned, the young Spaniard will have the chance to kickstart his career at a new club, which could build a long-term team around him. With the 22-year-old uncertain of achieving anything remotely similar at Real Madrid, the move to Chelsea could be appealing.

This looks like a deal that could be completed, with all four parties ending up being satisfied with the transfer. It now remains to be seen if Real Madrid are able to lower their transfer fee for Hazard, with Asensio making his way to the Premier League as part of the deal.
