Manchester United are reportedly one of five European clubs chasing the signature of Dylan Crowe, who currently plies his trade for Ipswich.

Goal are running a story as regards Manchester United and their interest in another promising young Englishman. Ipswich youngster Dylan Crowe is attracting a lot of interest from Europe. The suitors include RB Leipzig, Brighton, Borussia Monchengladbach and Benfica along with the Red Devils.

Born in 2001, Dylan Crowe joined Ipswich is 2013 and has since gradually gone through his paces at the English club. The player signed a two-year scholarship with the club in 2017 and has since managed to be promoted to the Under-18 side. The right-back has represented England at the Under-17 level so far.

The teenager was part of the squad that reached the semi-finals of the Under-17 European championships before losing to Holland on penalties.

Crowe is regarded very highly by the Ipswich staff and there is an expectancy that the 17-year-old goes on to become a star worthy of competing for the Three Lions on a regular basis. That he is already associated with Puma also speaks volumes about the level of talent Crowe is and his potential.

Crowe though, is drawing attention of the top brass of Europe. Manchester United, RB Leipzig, Borussia Monchengladbach, Brighton and Benfica are among the suitors that have been named in Goal’s report, while there might be others who are interested in the 17-year-old.

Manchester United have started reaping benefits of their aggressive youth recruitment drive that started under Nicky Butt’s watchful eyes in 2016. The Red Devils now boast of breathtaking talents, some of whom have now been promoted to the Under-23 side.

The club does not want to slow their drive down anytime soon. With the current batch earning promotion to the Under-23s, there is a need to replace them with a fresh batch.

Manchester United have already come through with a few promising figures in the Under-18 squad. Their defence is headlined by former Chelsea star Di’Shon Bernard. But, with just six players appearing on the name sheet so far in the defensive roster, United do need a couple of new faces to fill up the squad.

The Red Devils though, will be wary of the threat posed by RB Leipzig. The Bundesliga hotshots have already claimed scalps over Manchester United, the latest being them pipping the Red Devils and Liverpool to the signature of Nottingham Forest prodigy Matthew Bondswell.

Each one of the aforementioned clubs are ready to shell out as much as £500,000 to sign the 17-year-old. Manchester United would hope their heritage and the exposure to the best coaches and state-of-the-art facilities along with the ability to stay in the country will be enough to persuade Crowe.
