Mexico’s World Cup star Hirving Lozano offers himself to Tottenham Hotspur in an attempt to lure the interest of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

In one of the more complex transfer rumours of this window, Spanish news outlet Don Balon are claiming Mexico’s World Cup star Hirving Lozano has offered himself to Tottenham. The PSV Eindhoven starlet has attracted a host of interest from across Europe this summer, including from Real Madrid and Barcelona, following some stunning performances in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

However, it is reported that Lozano is eyeing a move to either Barcelona or Real Madrid. But, despite their interest in the Mexican winger, both the Spanish heavyweights have remained pretty cautious in this transfer window, as a result of which, Lozano has drawn up a plan to seal a move to Spain in the long term.

The Spanish outlet claims that Lozano has told his agent to offer a transfer to Tottenham, as he looks to join a club playing in the Champions League.

Although the likes RB Leipzig and AS Monaco have also made some advances for the gifted attacker this summer, the English giants have been very consistent in the past few years and thus, have been identified as the perfect destination for the Mexican forward.

Tottenham, on the other hand, could be hugely boosted, should this rumour appear to be true. The Lilywhites have been actively looking to beef up their attacking department this summer as Mauricio Pochettino aims to pose a strong threat for the title next season.

Moreover, the North Londoners do actually lack some depth in the offensive department even though the likes of Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Son Heung-Min have done extremely well. For one, Erik Lamela’s career at Tottenham has been marred with injuries and he faces an uncertain future at the club.

Additionally, Lucas Moura is yet to sort his feet out in the English top flight after arriving from PSG earlier this year. The Brazilian attacker featured in just eleven games since joining Tottenham with his only goal coming in the disappointing 2-2 draw with Rochdale in the FA Cup.

Thus, Hirving Lozano could be an ideal signing for the Lilywhites especially with the likes of Kane and Eriksen being on the end of some major transfer speculations in recent months, with Real Madrid and Barcelona among the clubs linked with the superstars.

Aside from his impressive World Cup campaign, the 22-year-old has also shone in the Eredivisie with his 17 goals in 29 league matches helping the Boeren seal the title last term. Blessed with sheer pace and dynamism, Lozano is a threat to any defence in the world.

Considering Pochettino’s strong track record of nurturing young talents, the Mexican is almost tailor-made for a club like Tottenham.

At the age of just 22, Lozano has a vital summer transfer window ahead of him, and a move to the Premier League could be a wise decision, even though his heart’s desire is to join either Real Madrid or Barcelona.

As iterated earlier, the North Londoners have been quite consistent over the last few years and a move to Tottenham will present him with the perfect opportunity to showcase his talents in arguably the most competitive league in the world. But, it remains to be seen if Lozano’s so-called ploy works to plan, with Real Madrid and Barcelona reciprocating with firm interest.
