The 16-year-old had a good season in the Under-18 Premier League for Sunderland in 2017-18. Greenwood managed 8 goals and as many assists in 15 appearances, leaving quite an impression on the coaches at the club and the scouts in attendance as well, which has ultimately turned into a move to Arsenal.
The new Arsenal star has also made his bow for England at the Under-16 level and even has a goal to his name.

Sam Greenwood is the latest blow to Manchester United in their rampant and rigorous attempt to put their youth setup back on the map. Matthew Bondswell has rejected the advances of the Red Devils in order to move to Germany and join RB Leipzig.
Manchester United though, already have a Greenwood that is tipped for the future. Mason Greenwood had a better season than Sam in the Under-18 Premier League. The youngster scored 16 goals while setting up 4 in 17 appearances, which has seen him catch the eye of the coaches at Carrington.
Sam Greenwood will join Arsenal’s Under-18 side and will hope to grow into his new environment quickly.
