Manchester United are reportedly preparing a €40 million bid for World Cup sensation Hirving Lozano, who is also on the radar of Real Madrid.
According to an exclusive report from TuttoMercatoWeb, Manchester United are preparing a €40 million bid for Hirving Lozano. The Mexican international has been on the radar of Real Madrid, who are also being tipped to be moving in with a bid of an identical amount for the rising star.
Hirving Lozano has always been one to catch the eye. He earned a move to PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2017. And, there has been no looking back for the attacker since then. Lozano finished the 2017-18 Eredivisie campaign with 17 goals and 11 assists to his name.
By that time, he was already on the radar of top clubs. But, it is his World Cup form that has catapulted him into being one of the hottest properties of the current transfer window. While Lozano did finish the tournament with a goal and an assist, it is the PSV star’s overall performance that is generating interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal and others.
Don Balon state that Mino Raiola has been talking to Real Madrid. The agent has told Real Madrid not to waste the opportunity of getting Lozano, who he believes will command a €40 million fee. Raiola believes the valuation from PSV is generous and that Lozano could become the next €100 million star in a couple of years.
While Real Madrid ponder upon the opportunity, Manchester United are hoping to seize it with both hands. The Red Devils have been in search of an explosive winger. And they might have found their man in the form of young Lozano. His performances for Mexico at the 2018 FIFA World Cup showed he is unfazed by the biggest of stages and relishes going up against the top teams.
Manchester United are believed to be ready to make a move for Lozano. The Red Devils are plotting a €40 million offer for the 22-year-old. The offer is expected to be tabled soon. According to Mino Raiola’s thoughts, PSV might accept the offer.
But, the bid will spring other suitors in action. PSV might relish the opportunity of an auction to drive up the price for Lozano. For the 22-year-old though, it is imperative that he focuses on where he would be able to grow the quickest and which surroundings will allow him to flourish.
It is very easy to be swayed by the prospect of moving to a club as big as the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid or any of the top cream of European football. But, what the 22-year-old needs right now is regular first-team football, something that should be more valuable to him than the terms on offer by the big clubs.
Expect Lozano to be on the move in the summer. But, where he ends up might just depend on who is willing to pay the designated price to PSV and who is able to negotiate the best with Mino Raiola. It feels like it will be a battle between Manchester United and Real Madrid, for now.
