Jurgen Klopp has no fresh injury concerns to deal with as Liverpool get set to face Manchester United in a crunch clash at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Liverpool are set to face bitter rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday, with the stakes higher than ever before in the race to finish runners-up in the Premier League. And Jurgen Klopp can be buoyed by the fact that he has no player remaining on the treatment table, enabling him to take a near full-strength squad to Manchester.

Andrew Robertson has recovered from the knock that kept him out of the midweek Champions League game, and is available for selection. The Scottish defender looks set to start on the left side of the Liverpool defence.

Another player who has showed positive signs in training is Nathaniel Clyne, and Klopp providing an update on him and Robertson during his pre-match press conference.

“Robbo is clear. Clyney is still on a very good way, with no further injury since he has been back.”

While Clyne has taken major steps on his comeback trail, the Manchester United game has come too soon for him. In his stead, Trent Alexander-Arnold should start as the right-back, with Virgil van Dijk and Dejan Lovren being the central defensive partnership.

In midfield, captain Jordan Henderson is in contention to lead the side and make his 200th Liverpool appearance in the Premier League. Klopp confirmed that the Englishman has recovered from a dead leg that he sustained in the dying stages of the Porto match, with Georginio Wijnaldum now fully recovered as well.

“Hendo, dead leg, looked OK yesterday. Gini is also on the way back and looked good. Him and Ben [Woodburn] lost one or two kilos [due to illness], but should be OK again. It was normal in training.”

While Henderson is expected to start, Wijnaldum may only be fit enough to make the bench. Partnering the Liverpool captain, should be Emre Can and the in-form James Milner, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain likely to suffice with a role off the bench.

The front trio pretty much selects itself, with joint-top scorer in the league this season Mohamed Salah set to return to the starting lineup. Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino should retain their places and the triad would look to torment a Manchester United defence that has been leaky in recent weeks.
