Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a bumper bid of £100 million plus their talisman Gareth Bale in order to land Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard in the summer.
According to an exclusive report run by British publication Express, Chelsea must brace themselves for a mammoth bid from Real Madrid in the summer for Belgian superstar Eden Hazard. Los Blancos are reportedly prepared to offer the services Gareth Bale in exchange for the Belgian along with a bumper £100 million cash fee as well.
Real Madrid’s season has been very lax due to a lack of early season form from Cristiano Ronaldo. And while the Ballon D’or winner seems to have regained his form, the league has already slipped out of hands, something which might not have happened if Real Madrid had another star capable of offsetting Ronaldo’s lack of goals in the first half of the season.
While Gareth Bale was brought in by the club for that very reason, the spate of injuries that the Welshman has suffered a multitude of injuries that have kept him out for considerable periods and crucial junctures, which, along with the profligacy of Karim Benzema has been cited as the two main reasons for Real Madrid’s domestic failure.
Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard, on the other hand, has shown that he is now on par with the other world-class players, single-handedly winning games for the Blues at times. Add to that his impeccable close control and dribbling ability and one would be foolish to not put him in the same bracket of the other Elite stars in world football at the moment.

Chelsea have had a bit of a bumpy season themselves, with the Premier League all but out of reach while the Blues have already exited from the EFL Cup.
Regardless, Chelsea are unlikely to be willing to part ways with Eden Hazard, who has become such a crucial cog at Stamford Bridge that the team has often looked toothless upfront in the Belgian’s absence. Real Madrid though, are set to present them with an offer that could just be ‘too good to refuse’.
According to the report, Real Madrid are prepared to shell out £100 million for Hazard in the summer. But, that is not all, as Los Blancos are also offering the services of Gareth Bale in return, which would alleviate Chelsea of the need to look for a replacement for their talisman.
With Conte unlikely to remain in charge beyond this season, the £100 million windfall could be used to reinforce other areas like the midfield or the central defence, depending on the preference of tactics and formation of the new manager.
Gareth Bale too, would love a change of scenes and return to the Premier League, his old hunting ground. And a fit Gareth Bale is undeniably one of the best predators on the football pitch. Eden Hazard, on the other hand, would finally be able to play for Real Madrid, a prospect he has often hinted upon.
This looks like a deal that would benefit both Chelsea and Real Madrid – a deal that could very well see the light of the day in the summer, depending on Los Blancos’ urgency to land Eden Hazard combined with their willingness to cut their losses with an injury-stricken Gareth Bale.
