Chelsea wonderkid Callum Hudson-Odoi is reportedly on the radar of Juventus, Benfica and a host of other clubs, who are all vying for the youngster’s signature.

If reports from The Sun are to be believed, Callum Hudson-Odoi, who has emerged as one of the brightest young talents, is attracting interest from a host of clubs. The Chelsea whizkid who has been compared to Eden Hazard in terms of potential, is on the radar of Juventus, Benfica, Queens Park Rangers, Bristol City and more.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is a 16-year-old prodigy who has already made quite a splash at varied levels in the youth setup at Chelsea and has already progressed up to the Under-23 squad for the Premier League champions. The attacker has also started the present season strongly, with 4 goals and 2 assists to his name in just 8 appearances.

The youngster was also handed a three-year contract earlier – a deal that is set to expire at the end of the 2018-19 campaign. However, the player might not even fulfil the entirety of the deal, with a number of clubs circling around him. While there seems to be a battle brewing on the club front, there is an ongoing battle at the international level as well.

Hudson-Odoi is eligible to represent both Ghana and England. And while the youngster has represented the Three Lions up until the Under-17s, Ghana are trying to convince the player to switch allegiances and represent the African powerhouse.

At club level, Juventus are taking a close look at the player, whose ability to play all across the front three as well as an attacking midfielder is interesting the Serie A champions and other clubs.

SL Benfica on the other hand, have been on a recent scouting trip to England, it seems, scouring for budding youngsters. Having already secured the signature of Chris Willock from Arsenal, the Portuguese outfit has been taking a close look at Manchester United keeper Dean Henderson as well.

And it seems Hudson-Odoi is on their list as well, who, though, could also be enticed by interest from Queens Park Rangers and Bristol City. Queens Park Rangers would be able to give them an accelerated path to the first-team without having to move from London and adapt to life in a new city, which can be quite tasking for a youngster.

Chelsea have had troubles in bringing through youngsters from their academy to the first-team in the recent years. But, Antonio Conte’s second season has seen some talented youth players being given an opportunity to shine, which could also convince Hudson-Odoi that he will be given a chance to prove himself and break through, if he shines enough.

And that is what he will be looking to do for now for England at the ongoing FIFA Under-17 World Cup in India, shine!
