Arsenal have reportedly reignited interest in Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto, who is also being tailed by Juventus and Inter Milan.

According to The Sun, Arsenal have turned their attention back to Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto. The youngster, who is being tailed by Juventus and Inter Milan as well, has been linked with the Gunners for a while. And it seems the club have decided to dedicate their resources back to the 21-year-old.

Jankto has been hailed as the next Tomas Rosicky in Czech Republic, with the player having similarities in his passing ability and his playing demeanour. The 21-year-old arrived in Italy in 2014 when he joined Udinese from Slavia Prague.

While Jankto was sent on a season-long loan to Ascoli in the 2015-16 season, the 2016-17 campaign saw him being promoted to the first-team setup within Udinese. And the player grabbed the opportunity with both hands, with 29 league appearances, boasting a return of 5 goals and 4 assists.

The links to Arsenal have been on-off throughout the summer, with the player continuing to impress the onlookers with his game. And it seems there are two more clubs now in pursuit of Jankto, other than Everton, with Juventus and Inter Milan both taking a keen interest in the player.

Indeed, the midfielder has shown he can adapt to Serie A with aplomb and after having established himself within the league, Juventus and Inter Milan can both look at him as both a prospect for the future and an immediate squad player.

Arsenal, though, are in need of a central midfielder and have been linked with several players, including Leon Goretzka and William Carvalho among others. The Gunners do have Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey, Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny to contend for the two midfield slots.

Jankto has a release clause of £6 million, which means, given the inflated condition of the current market, he will be a risk-free signing for any club. Also, at the reported fee, Juventus and Inter Milan can get hold of a player who already has established himself as a prospect in the league.

If not anything else, the clubs can benefit by buying him on the cheap and then selling him off in the future for a mammoth fee after his development into a midfield superstar – he looks to be right on track according to his performances in the 2016-17 season.

Arsenal, though, will be foolish to let go of this opportunity without a fight. Labelled the new Rosicky, the 21-year-old could become a massive asset to the Gunners, with his technical ability and drive.
