Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a summer move to bring Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic over to Emirates.

According to ESPN – and their Italian sources – Arsenal are ready to accelerate their transfer workings after their recent capture of Alexandre Lacazette. The Gunners have now shifted their focus to the central midfield and are eyeing a summer move for Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

Marcelo Brozovic is another one of the many Croatian midfielders to emerge in the recent years in world football. The midfielder arrived in Italy in the summer of 2015 on a loan deal – a deal that was made permanent in the succeeding summer as Inter Milan moved to buy the player from Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb.

And in his debut season at Inter, the 24-year-old has managed to establish himself as one of the most reliable midfielders in world football. Over the course of 2 seasons with the club, the Croatian amassed a total of 79 appearances with a return of 14 goals and 10 assists to show for his efforts.

His performances also brought forth interest from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea – both the clubs have ceded their interest in the player since, with the duo not linked with Brozovic since. But now, there is another Premier League club – Arsenal – that has emerged as a suitor for the 24-year-old.

Arsenal fans have been taken aback by the quick activity in the transfer market done by their club – a breath of fresh air after seasons filled with transfer failures. After the capture of players like Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette, the club are now intent on reinforcing their central midfield.

And their pursuit has now brought them to Marcelo Brozovic – a player that could be the vital cog needed to make Arsenal genuine title contenders. The player’s ability on the ball and vision matched with his ability to contribute in attack makes him one of the most perfect transfer targets for the Gunners.

Arsenal need an enforcer in the middle of the park, something they are currently lacking. And Brozovic could well be the answer – perhaps, a relatively cheap one at that as well. Inter Milan are reportedly open to offers for the 24-year-old with the club under pressure to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulations.

There are no other suitors in for Brozovic, as per reports and Arsenal could get a clear run in on the Croatian if they move quickly. They have already shown they are not afraid to stump up the cash to get their primary target and perhaps we could very well see Brozovic be the latest arrival at Emirates.
