Tottenham flop Moussa Sissoko could well be playing sensationally for any of Barcelona, Real Madrid and AC Milan next season, as per the reports.

Moussa Sissoko’s Tottenham career has been largely disappointing. But, the player could be in line to land a sensational move to one of Barcelona, Real Madrid and AC Milan, so Spanish publication Don Balon suggest.

Tottenham seemed to have pulled off a major coup as they brought Moussa Sissoko back to the Premier League in a deadline-day move – beating Everton to the player. However, the Frenchman has failed to replicate his Euro 2016 form, failing to make the mark at White Hart Lane.

It is not that the player has not been afforded chances, with Sissoko notching up 32 appearances in all competitions – 23 of them in the Premier League. However, a return of 4 assists and 0 goals for the club in the aforementioned appearances is largely underwhelming for an attacking player.

There has already been talks of Mauricio Pochettino looking to replace Moussa Sissoko, with a few summer targets lined up. Sissoko himself has been regularly linked with an exit from the club, with AC Milan one of the clubs showing an interest in him.

AC Milan are in for a heavy summer in terms of player turnover, with a host of incomings and outgoings expected at San Siro. The midfield could be reinforced heavily and Moussa Sissoko is one of the many targets the Rossoneri have within their sights.

However, as per Don Balon, Real Madrid and Barcelona have both come into the frame as far as Moussa Sissoko is concerned. Zinedine Zidane was left mesmerised by the 27-year-old’s Euro 2016 display and had attempted to bring the player over to the Bernabeu last summer, only for the player to sign for Tottenham.

And now, the player’s agent has offered his client to Barcleona in an attempt to get Zidane to renew his interest in the player. Real Madrid could do with a physically strong midfielder in their squad, with their current options consisting of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Mateo Kovacic – all of whom lack physicality.

It is interesting to see whether Barcelona will take up the opportunity – something which would largely depend on the incoming manager. However, a move for a midfielder in the mould of Sissoko would result in a departure from their usual targets and perhaps, footballing philosophy as well.

Sissoko, though, in a wild bizarre move could rejoin Newcastle, who are set to play Premier League football next campaign. Rafa Benitez has been handed a warchest to build a squad capable of survival in the top-flight and could move to resign Sissoko in a cut-price deal.

It would be interesting to see how the transfer pans out. But, Moussa Sissoko, after a largely disappointing campaign, could very well be on his way to either of Barcelona or Real Madrid – a proposition players often dream of.
