Arsenal are reportedly plotting a sensational summer assault on Chelsea in the pursuit of their teenage English striker Tammy Abraham.

The Sun have sensationally claimed that Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is a shock summer target for Arsenal. The Gunners are looking to add to their frontline and Arsene Wenger is eyeing a summer swoop for the teenager as he aims to add a young striker to his squad for next season.

Tammy Abraham has taken to Championship football with much aplomb. Going on loan to Bristol City, the player has been absolutely phenomenal in front of goal, chalking up a staggering 23 goals in the league alone, along with 4 assists to his name.

Tammy’s form has brought him into the attention of Antonio Conte, who actually noticed the player’s talents immediately when he arrived, calling him up to be a part of the pre-season tour, before the player was sent on loan to Bristol City.

As the player is set to return to Chelsea at the end of the season, he is eyeing regular playing time and there are reports that the striker is prepared to leave the Blues in search of the same, if not being afforded regular first-team minutes at the club.

The want for assurance of first-team football could see another brilliant academy graduate leave Chelsea. However, what the Blues faithfuls will not like is the club that is being linked with a move for Tammy Abraham.

As per the Sun, Arsene Wenger has taken a keen look at the 19-year-old and is prepared to move for him. The Gunners can provide the player with regular minutes at Emirates and Wenger is convinced he can persuade the Chelsea academy product into moving across the city to North London.

Arsenal do have a shortage of quality options upfront, with Lucas Perez set to be axed in the summer just a season after joining Arsenal while Olivier Giroud, too, is being linked with a move away from the club. Wenger has been looking to add quality to the attack and Abraham’s form seems to have caught the manager’s attention.

The report states that Abraham wants a look-in into the first-team setup at Chelsea at the very least, barring which the player is prepared to leave. It is likely to depend on Antonio Conte and his outlook as to whether the player stays at Stamford Bridge or otherwise.
