Juventus have reportedly joined Chelsea and Manchester United in the race to sign highly-rated Real Madrid superstar Marco Asensio.

TransferMarketWeb are claiming that Juventus are now showing an interest in Real Madrid superstar Marco Asensio. The player has been on the radar of Chelsea and Manchester United of late. And it seems the Bianconeri have joined the esteemed Premier League duo in the pursuit of the Spanish ace.

As per the report, Juventus undertook a thorough scouting mission during the international break, to watch Marco Asensio in the Under-21 international match between Italy and Spain. And it seems, the report that has been sent back by the representatives have convinced the club to pursue the player in the summer.

Marco Asensio arrived from Mallorca in the summer of 2015 and after a successful loan spell at Espanyol, the attacker has finally made the senior cut at Real Madrid, managing to make a mammoth 25 appearances in all competitions, with a return of 8 goals and an assist.

Despite accruing 25 appearances, it Spanish international is not content with his current role in the first-team setup at Santiago Bernabeu, which has seen the arrival of interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United. Chelsea are looking to strengthen their attack for the next campaign.

And with the likes of Eden Hazard and Diego Costa both linked with an exit from the club, the Blues are looking to recruit skilfully strong attackers to fill the potential void or add depth, in case they opt to stay at the club.

Manchester United have been long interested in Marco Asensio, with Jose Mourinho reported to be an admirer of his talents. It was reported that Mourinho had earmarked Asensio as a priority summer target and is likely to come in with an offer when the transfer window reopens.

However, it is Juventus who have emerged as a potential contender for Asensio’s signature. Asensio could take up the wide slot from Juan Cuadrado immediately and also prove to be a player who can lock down the spot for years to come. Asensio could see Morata’s development with Juventus as a positive sign, which could tip things in the favour of the current Serie A leaders.

Asensio is under contract at Real till 2022 and is likely to command a hefty transfer fee. However, the fee is unlikely to be a factor for any of the three suitors, if they do decide to convert their interest into a real pursuit of the 21-year-old.

Real Madrid could even convince Asensio to stay by promising him a more prominent role in the first-team setup, especially with the likes of Isco and James Rodriguez looking more and more certain to depart the club in the summer.

The decision is likely to depend on whether Florentino Perez is able to acquire the players he wants to add to the squad in the summer and the arrival of attackers could make up Asensio’s mind, who will then be in the midst of a transfer battle between Chelsea, Manchester United and Juventus.
