Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing a whopping €80 million offer to poach French wonderkid Kylian Mbappe from AS Monaco in the summer.

French outlet Le Parisien have reported that Paris Saint-Germain have become the latest club to join the long queue of suitors for French wonderkid Kylian Mbappe. The AS Monaco forward is already being tailed by the who’s who of European football.

Mbappe has the world at his feet this season, having stormed through as one of the most exciting prospects in Europe. Playing only his second senior campaign for AS Monaco, he has already broken records and is being hailed in and outside France as ‘the next Thierry Henry’.

Still only 18, Mbappe has established himself as a fundamental component in Monaco’s incredible success story to being the most prolific team in Europe this season, having bagged 19 goals and 11 assists in just 32 games across all competitions.

That is a direct contribution to a goal every 55.7 minutes – unbelievable numbers for any player, no less someone who is just starting out in his career. That’s why it comes as no surprise that he has already earned a maiden callup to the French national side and that some of the biggest clubs in Europe are vying for his signature.

In fact, the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Real Madrid have all been heavily linked with the teenage prodigy, with Arsenal also having him scouted regularly in recent months.

Another club has now joined the race to sign Mbappe in the summer, and this suitor is even ready with a decisive move to land the youngster. French heavyweights PSG have entered the mix now, eager to poach Mbappe away from the Ligue 1 leaders in the summer, and they are preparing an offer for him.

The French champions are set to launch a massive bid worth €80 million to test the resolve of Monaco, who earlier this month insisted that Mbappe will not be sold in the summer.

PSG signed Julian Draxler from Wolfsburg and Goncalo Guedes, but the likes of Angel Di Maria and Hatem Ben Arfa are being linked with a summer exit from the Parc des Princes, meaning a space could open up in the first team squad.

In addition to that, with Mbappe still being in his teens and being touted to achieve great things in an already burgeoning career, he could prove to be a long-term solution in attack for Les Parisiens.

It now remains to be seen if Monaco can be tempted with the whopping amount on offer from PSG, and how other suitors respond to the French champions’ plans to land Mbappe.
