Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have all reportedly approached Real Madrid for a summer move for Sergio Ramos.

Spanish publication Diario Gol have reported that Real Madrid have been approached by three European heavyweights for the signature of their captain Sergio Ramos, with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain all interested in signing the Spaniard in the summer.

Ramos has evolved into one of the best defenders in the world ever since his €27 million move to Real Madrid from Sevilla as a 19-year-old. Nearly 12 years of trophy laden campaigns have followed, and Ramos has firmly established himself as a fundamental component at the Santiago Bernabeu.

This season, Ramos has not only been a solid presence at the back for Real Madrid, but has also made quite a significant impact in attack, scoring some vital goals for his side over the course of the season, finding the back of the net an incredible 10 times in 29 matches in all competitions.

With Ramos being one of the best defenders on the planet, it goes without saying that many clubs could do with his services. Three such clubs who have shown an interest in signing him in the summer are Chelsea, Bayern Munich and PSG.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is reported to be eager to make defensive reinforcements in the summer as he has very few recognised options to choose from beyond his first choice back-three. Ramos’ possible acquisition can, in fact, see him improve his defence further – the Blues boast the best defensive record in the Premier League.

Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti, on the other hand, has two of the best centre-backs in Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummels at his disposal at the Allianz Arena with Javi Martinez as backup, and with the duo going great guns at the heart of their defence, a move for Ramos looks unlikely at this moment.

Meanwhile, PSG are keen on adding a central defender in the summer, with Marquinhos heavily linked with a move away from Parc des Princes. With Thiago Silva proving to be inconsistent this season, a move for his Real Madrid counterpart could be on the cards.

However, the report adds that despite the three clubs already approaching Florentino Perez for Ramos, the Real Madrid president has made it clear that the 30-year-old is “non-transferrable”, making a summer departure from the Santiago Bernabeu highly unlikely.

With Ramos being such a prized asset for Los Blancos, it is not hard to see why, and the three European heavyweights would have to set their sights elsewhere for defensive reinforcements in the summer.
