Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are all reportedly eyeing a summer move for Everton midfielder Ross Barkley.

The Daily Telegraph have reported that Ross Barkley has fallen on the radar of several Premier League biggies, with Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur all having set their sights on the Everton forward for a summer move.

Barkley has made waves ever since bursting onto the scene with Everton, following his rapid progression through the ranks at the Merseyside club. He has since become a mainstay for both club and country, developing as one of the most exciting young prospects in England.

Barkley has already racked up more than 150 appearances for Everton and has continued to improve under the tutelage of Ronald Koeman. The 23-year-old has played 29 times in all competitions for the Toffees this season, scoring five goals while providing seven assists.

However, Barkley will have just one year left on his contract at the end of the season and not much progress has been made on a new deal with Everton. As a result, clubs are starting to circle around the player with the hopes of landing him in the summer.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham are all keenly monitoring Barkley’s situation at Goodison Park and are weighing up a summer move for him.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is looking to beef up his squad as the Blues look set to contest on four fronts next season, and with just Eden Hazard, Willian and Pedro to choose from currently, he needs attacking reinforcements come June.

Meanwhile, at Manchester United, Jose Mourinho has several attacking options at his disposal, with Anthony Martial, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Wayne Rooney to choose from.

But, with the Manchester United captain looking likely to leave in the summer, Mourinho could enter the market for an attacking addition.

Similarly, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola also has an abundance of attacking players in his squad, including Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, as well as Nolito and Jesus Navas. But City have been tracking Barkley for a long time now and a summer move could be in the offing.

Like City, Tottenham have also been long-time admirers of Barkley’s talents, and continue to remain in the market for the youngster. With Mauricio Pochettino eager to bolster his squad in the summer, Barkley has been an option he has been considering for some time now.

However, the report adds that Barkley will not push for a move away from Goodison Park in the summer as he is enjoying his role under Koeman. So it remains to be seen if any of the clubs can manage to lure the Englishman come June, with Everton themselves not eager to let go of their prized asset.
