Manchester United and Real Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on the situation surrounding Renato Sanches at Bayern Munich.

As per an exclusive Tribal Football report, Manchester United and Real Madrid have renewed their interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches. The summer recruit has failed to establish himself as a regular under Carlo Ancelotti, which has brought about speculation linking him to a possible exit from the Allianz Arena.

Renato Sanches arrived at Bayern Munich after a successful Euro 2016 campaign, which saw him tasting international success with Portugal. But, he has started just 4 Bundesliga games for the Bavarians this season, with just 11 league appearances in total so far.

Manchester United and Real Madrid were vying for Renato Sanches’ signature along with Bayern Munich, with the player opting for the Bundesliga heavyweights. But, his lack of game time has now brought about interest from the aforementioned duo again.

As per the report, Jorge Mendes, who represents Renato Sanches, has kept both Manchester United and Real Madrid up to speed with the latest developments surrounding the 19-year-old at Bayern. The speculation even forced Carlo Ancelotti to address the exit rumours.

“ Renato will definitely be here next season, 100 percent. We will neither give him away nor loan him,” he said

Jorge Mendes represents Jose Mourinho as well. And the Portuguese boss, who is now at the helm of Manchester United, has been vocal about his disappointment at not being able to land the player in the first place.

With Sanches not being able to establish himself under Don Carlo, Mourinho could use his links with Jorge Mendes to broker a deal to bring Renato Sanches to Manchester United. The Red Devils are looking for a long-term replacement for Michael Carrick and Sanches could just be the man for the job.

Real Madrid are also interested in adding a midfielder to their ranks, with the likes of Toni Kroos, Isco and James Rodriguez all linked with a possible exit in the summer. Los Blancos missed out on Sanches and his compatriot Andre Gomes in the first place, and would love to get their hands on the 19-year-old.

Manchester United, though, could be the front-runners to land Renato Sanches. It would be an intriguing prospect if United do manage to get their hands on the 19-year-old, a player that eluded them last summer.
