Inter Milan are ready to offer Andrea Pinamonti a new bumper contract to stave off interest from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, as per reports.

Italian publication Calciomercato have reported that Inter Milan are determined to keep hold of teenage striker Andrea Pinamonti as interest in him continues to rise. The 17-year-old has been on the radar of several clubs across Europe but Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have shown the most interest.

Andrea Pinamonti is being hailed as one of the most promising talents in Europe and for some good reason. The 17-year-old has set the youth stage on fire in a prolific manner as he has progressed through the ranks at Inter Milan over the years, and numbers back that up too.

This season, Pinamonti has netted 15 times in 15 appearances in the Primavera C for Inter’s under-19 side, scoring a goal every 82 minutes. The numbers surely are impressive and his abilities make him a huge prospect, with Pinamonti showcasing superb composure in front of goal alongside having an exceptional ball control.

His brilliant form for the junior side have also seen Pinamonti make an impression on first team manager, Stefano Pioli who handed him his senior debut in the Europa League earlier in the season.

Pioli also gave Pinamonti a first experience of senior league football as the youngster played 10 minutes as a second half substitute against Empoli last week.

However, it’s not just Pioli who have been impressed by the talents of Pinamonti, with several clubs across Europe eyeing the 17-year-old. The likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen and Tottenham Hotspur have all registered an interest in him.

But, Chelsea and Tottenham are two clubs that have shown the most concrete interest in Pinamonti, scouting the player on several occasions over the course of the season. Chelsea are in a precarious situation with Diego Costa, with not much being certain about his future at Stamford Bridge.

On top of that, summer signing Michy Batshuayi has failed to make much of an impression on Antonio Conte. Pinamonti’s acquisition, thus, not only gives the Chelsea boss a long-term solution in attack, but also a talented deputy in case Costa doesn’t leave the Blues in the summer.

Meanwhile, Tottenham do have a prolific striker in Harry Kane, with the England international being one of the most important players for Mauricio Pochettino. Beyond Kane though, there’s a shortage of good goalscoring options for the Tottenham manager.

However, Inter do not intend on selling Pinamonti any time soon, with a new five-year deal for the youngster on the ready. The striker’s current deal has less than 18 months remaining, which makes the Nerazzurri even more jittery.

The new deal will also come with a pay rise and Inter will now be hoping that their confidence in his talents and the bumper contract are enough to convince him to extend his stay with them.
