Manchester United, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Juventus are all reportedly showing interest in Toulouse wonderkid Adil Taoui.

French publication Foot Mercato have claimed that Toulouse wonderkid Adil Taoui is attracting interest from an array of European giants. The likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Juventus are all credited with interest in the 16-year-old.

Adil Taoui is touted as one of the most promising players at his age level. His performance at the Val-De-Marne tournament has only gone to add more hype around the player’s talent.

As the French national side won the event, Taoui was named the best player of the tournament, a feat last achieved by a French player when Hatem Ben Arfa won it back in 2003. Add to that his performances at the Under-17 championships, where he has 15 goals in 11 appearances, including a double over the weekend, and the player certainly looks like one to watch out for.

Toulouse have produced some great talents in the recent past in the form of Etienne Capoue, Moussa Sissoko, Franck Tabanou, Alban Lafont and Issa Diop among others. And Taoui could just be the next to make the grade, a future prospect Toulouse have great confidence in.

The likes of Bayern Munich and Juventus had representatives over at the Val-De-Marne event scouring for young talent and seem to have taken a liking to the young prodigy. The Manchester duo have also been credited with scouting of the 16-year-old several times in recent months.

Foot Mercato also spoke to Adil’s representative, who had some positive words along with some advise for the 16-year-old.

Adil is young, he has the future in front of him, he must not burn the stages. He must continue his training in Toulouse, will sign his first professional contract before leaving later in a big foreign club, just like what was done Karim Benzema.”

He does make a point. While the aforementioned clubs might provide the player with state-of-the-art facilities, Toulouse does present the best and quickest way up to the senior squad. Toulouse’s current first-choice keeper Alban Lafont is a vivid example of this.

18-year-old Lafont is the undisputed first-choice for Toulouse now and is now attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal, among many other top European clubs. Lafont has now proven himself at the senior level and is continuing to develop his skills, before a possible move to a more illustrious destination.

That is what his agent suggests Taoui should pursue as well. The first target should be a senior debut and continued development, with a future move at the very back of his mind, for now at least.
