Jese’s agent has confirmed that the striker is considering multiple offers
In an interview with Canal, Jese’s agent Armando Ufarte admitted that the striker did not see a future with Paris Saint-Germain, after completely failing to impose himself on the first team. Ufarte also confirmed that while nothing had been decided yet, he and his client were considering several offers that they have received :
“Nothing has been decided and there is still time in this transfer window,” Ufarte said of a potential January move for Jese. “What is certain is that Jese no longer sees his future at PSG. He is waiting to pick the best from the offers that he has received. Until then, he is working hard in training every day to be in good condition once he gets back into action.
“He is ambitious and wants to continue to develop. I speak regularly with him and he knows we will work hard to find the best alternatives for him. It is only speculation. Despite his difficulties, he has suitors from several countries. First of all, we need to know PSG’s position on the matter.”
Jese only moved to France at the start of this season, after PSG agreed a £22m deal with Real Madrid for the 23-year old striker. After finding it hard to break into Madrid’s star-studded line-up, Rodriguez decided to move to Paris but things have not gone to plan for him at all.
Jese has managed only 9 appearances in the league this season, starting only one fixture. He has also only managed 263 minutes in those appearances, and that is clearly nowhere near the amount he thought he would be playing. He has been dropped entirely from the squad on several occasions this month, including during PSG’s 7-0 thrashing of Bastia in the Coupe de France.
Jurgen Klopp is said to be a huge admirer of the forward, and Las Palmas’ president confirmed Liverpool’s interest in him last month. Milan and Roma are also said to be very interested in the youngster, and if his agent is to be believed there are offers on the table that makes it seem likely that Jese will move to one of those clubs in this window.
Jurgen Klopp is looking to strengthen his side as Liverpool look to continue their assault on the title, and at 23 Jese fits the profile of players the German usually likes to sign. A young, pacy, explosive forward, Jese would fit into Klopp’s system quite well if he is able to adapt to the physical nature of the English game.
This is a story that is going to rumble on until he finally makes a move, and it is easy to see Jese fit in at any one of Liverpool, Roma and Milan. Given his situation at PSG, they are unlikely to demand a huge amount for him either, especially given the resources at their disposal.
