Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli is the subject of interest from several European heavyweights, with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in particular likely to bid for the young English starlet.

Dele Alli is a player on the rise, as he continues to put in impactful performances for Tottenham Hotspur. Having become one of the most influential players for the North London outfit, Alli has blossomed into one of the most highly rated young midfielders in world football.

English media outlet Daily Mail have reported that his performances haven’t gone unnoticed, with various clubs across Europe regularly monitoring Alli in action since his debut for Tottenham last season. Real Madrid and PSG, in particular are two of the clubs who are now ready to make a beeline for the starlet, with Tottenham preparing to receive big-money bids from the two European powerhouses.

It is believed that both Real Madrid and PSG feel that they can lure Alli with a big money contract that will easily trump the £60,000-per-week deal that he currently has at White Hart Lane. However, Mail also pointed out that Spurs and Mauricio Pochettino are confident of keeping hold of their player, with Alli having signed a new contract earlier this season.

In addition to that, Tottenham are also confident that, with Alli being happy in North London, he is unlikely to ask for a move away from the club.

For Real Madrid, the move for Alli is being seen as a positive one, with big money signings Isco and James Rodriguez failing to make the impact that had been expected from them at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Los Blancos are looking to inculcate a pro-youth philosophy under Zinedine Zidane, after the emergence of the likes of Kiko Casilla, Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez under the tutelage of the Frenchman. Alli would fit right in with such a set-up.

French champions PSG, who have struggled in their defence of the Ligue 1 title this season believe that Alli’s acquisition, alongside the presence of midfield general Marco Verratti will be like a breath of fresh air in a midfield that has struggled to dominate the proceedings in the centre of the park.

For Spurs, it is a battle to keep hold of their young and energetic talents, with another of their players in Eric Dier attracting interest from some of Europe’s elite club. Pochettino faces a fight on his hands to retain the services of some of his star players, and it’ll be interesting to see if the Argentinian manager can manage to keep them at White Hart Lane.
