Manchester United have reportedly stolen a march on other top European clubs and are set to sign Ajax wonderkid Daishawn Redan
Squawka claim that Manchester United are set to secure the signature of 15-year-old Ajax wonderkid Daishawn Redan. Redan, who plays as a striker for Ajax under-17s, has been attracting interest from a host of top European clubs, but it seems like the Red Devils have stolen a march on other European giants and look set to win the race to sign the highly rated sensation.
Daishawn Redan is a 15-year-old striker who has dual nationality and is eligible to play for both Suriname and Netherlands. The youngster has been highly prolific for Ajax’s youth sides, having joined the Dutch giants at the age of eight.
Redan has even represented Netherlands right up to the under-17s level with 5 goals in 6 games for the Oranje, including a hattrick against Brazil Under 17s in a 3-0 win at the 2015 Nike Cup.

Ajax had hoped to retain him in Amsterdam but as per Squawka’s reports, Daishawn has decided to move to England and join the youth ranks at United. Henny De Regt, the former Ajax scout who recently joined Manchester United, is thought to have played a major role in discovering the sensation for United.
The player is a right-footed forward who can play through the centre as well as on the left wing and is known for his agility and acceleration, ability on the ball, dribbling skills and the talent to go past players with ease.
Daishawn has also shown excellent vision in his performances and perhaps, the only shortcoming in the 15-year-old is his inability to provide the final ball to his teammates at times, something which is sure to improve as he keeps on working on his skill-set. ( via thepeoplesperson.com )
Take a look at some of the highlights of Daishawn Redan:
Daishawn Redan is likely to join the Manchester United youth side in January along with fellow Ajax academy product Millen Baars, whose transfer is already in place. The duo will be joining a fellow Dutchman in Feyenoord wonderkid Tahith Chong, who arrived during the summer and has been impressing everyone with his skills, something Daishawn would hope to do as well.
Manchester United’s youth revamp seems to be going well and the addition of a talent as good as Daishawn Redan will only go to strengthen the quality of the youth squad.
