It is being heavily reported that Manchester United are looking to get rid of a number of their struggling players over the next two transfer windows. However, many of them could be heading to Inter if the latest reports are true

The new project at Inter Milan following the Chinese takeover is yet to take off. Manager Frank de Boer has been unceremoniously sacked already, while the Nerazzuri  are currently languishing in ninth spot in the Serie A table.

The Italian giants will definitely be looking to make some additions in the coming transfer windows. If Italian publication Corriere dello Sport is to be believed, then a lot of the new players will be coming in from Old Trafford.

The print edition of the paper has stated that Inter are interested in as many as four Man United players. Defenders Matteo Darmian, Chris Smalling and Daley Blind are all wanted by Inter, as well as underperforming Dutch winger Memphis Depay.

Italian full-back Matteo Darmian has long been linked with a move to Inter this January. However, Darmian has resurrected his career at Man United of late, starring in their recent win over Swansea City. The ill will between manager Jose Mourinho and left-back Luke Shaw could also mean that Darmian’s United career will be handed a lifeline.

The same goes for Daley Blind, who has proven to be a useful utility player for Mourinho. The Dutchman has played in three positions across defence as Man United cope with some troubling injury worries.

Chris Smalling was Mr. Dependable in the Red Devils defence. However, the English center-back was clubbed alongside Shaw in Mourinho’s recent public dressing down. He is reportedly currently out injured with a toe injury, although rumors abound that he is no longer wanted at the club.

Memphis Depay is the most likely of the quartet to be put up for loan or sale by Mourinho. The Dutchman has played just 20 minutes in the Premier League this season, mostly as a substitute. He was even left out of the squad to play Turkish minnows Fenerbahce in the Europa League.

Premier League rivals Everton seem to be his most likely destination, but Italy could be an interesting prospect for the 22-year-old.
