Real Madrid welcome 8th placed Eibar to the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday. However, they will be without their two preferred left-backs, while manager Zinedine Zidane has said that Spaniard Isco will start the game.

Isco has recently earned a national call-up despite not having too many minutes under his belt at Real Madrid this season. Zidane has backed the Spaniard to do well ahead of the game against Eibar, and dropped a strong hit that he may get the nod to start in the Real midfield.

“Isco is going to play tomorrow because he’s fit and he’s an important player,” said Zidane ahead of the game, according to the official club website.

The Frenchman also stated that Portuguese left-back Fabio Coentrao would miss out on the game, while first choice left-back Marcelo would return to action only after the international break.

“Coentrão has some discomfort. He’s feeling it after a lot of work. He’s been working with us for almost three weeks now so it’s nothing unusual after four or five months out. We won’t risk him. When he’s fit he’ll be back in the squad.

“We’ve got enough players to step in for Marcelo, who is getting back fit slowly and he’s feeling better. He’ll be back with us after the international break”.

Los Blancos will once again look to right-back Dani Carvajal to switch position and fill in on the left, while Portuguese full-back Danilo plays at right-back. The two will flank a central defensive pairing of Pepe and Sergio Ramos, with Costa Rican Keylor Navas in goal.

The injury to Casemiro has opened the door for the entry of Isco into the first team. The Spaniard will probably replace James Rodriguez, who started against Dortmund in mid-week, alongside the duo of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

The BBC are all fit and that spells trouble for the opposition as Zidane can field his first choice attack of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale.
