Julian Draxler has reportedly told Wolfsburg he wants a move away from the club this summer, with Premier League giants Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal said to be interested in the attacking midfielder.

According to reports in Germany, the 22-year-old has told Wolfsburg that he wants to leave just 12 months after joining the club from league rivals Schalke 04. The German outfit are keen to keep hold of the midfielder however, with the club’s sporting director Klaus Allofs insisting that he will not be listening to offers for the Draxler or Andre Schhurle this summer in an interview with German newspaper Bild.

We always say that we listen to everything. That expressively does not apply for Andre and Julian. We don’t want to sell them, we want to return to the Champions League with them.

However, Klaus has since confirmed while speaking to Bild that it may not be possible to keep hold of the German international with the midfielder wanting to secure a move away from Die Wölfe.

It is clear that Wolfsburg is not the end of his dreams – neither was Schalke. There are clubs like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona or one or other club from England.

This news has alerted the Premier League clubs, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool already interested in forking out millions to secure a move for the player. Manchester United were earlier rumoured to have tabled a £38m bid for the German and remain keen on the player despite signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund.

Arsenal have also reportedly taken an active interest in the 22-year-old and the Gunners were in the news for offering £43m to Wolfsburg for the German international. Liverpool were not heavily linked with the player, but the Telegraph have reported today that Jurgen Klopp has chosen to opt out of a deal to sign Mario Gotze and is now interested in securing his former protege’s international teammate.

Any club wanting to sign the German playmaker would have to bid close to €60m, as reported by Bild and certain English media outlets. The report was confirmed by journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft on Twitter.

The figure is unlikely to deter the Premier League clubs if they are serious enough about signing him given the additional revenue from the new TV deal and ever-increasing commercial revenue.

The player has said he wants a move and Wolfsburg are likely to cash in if the right amount is offered. If Manchester United, Arsenal or Liverpool view Draxler as a priority signing this summer, the German could well be joining some of his compatriots in the Premier League next season.
