Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura has been linked with a move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

According to reports from SkySports, Brazilian winger Lucas Moura is keen on a move away from the Parc des Princes and Liverpool seems to be his next destination. Transfermarketweb has stated that the Brazilian has been on Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp’s radar for quite a while.

Under Jurgen Klopp the side managed to play a more attacking brand of football, than under his predecessor Brendan Rodgers, but the results haven’t varied to a great extent. Now with his first summer transfer window at hand, the German pragmatist is expected to bring about a number of changes at Anfield. Lucas Moura would undoubtedly be a star signing for a Liverpool side that looked off the pace last season.

The Brazilian had a fruitful campaign with Ligue 1 champions. In 26 starts, he found the back of the net on 13 occasions and assisted on another four instances.  He could form a valuable understanding with Brazilians Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, which could be beneficial for the Reds. Coutinho and Firmino were among a handful of Liverpool players whose performances had been noteworthy last season. Between them, the duo have been involved in 30 of 59 Premier League goals — an impressive feat, to say the least.

Will Jurgen Klopp alter his formation for the Brazilian to fit in?

The 23-year-old is a typical winger who is at his best when playing out on the flanks. His game comprises impeccable dribbles, blistering runs and playing crosses into the opposition penalty area. These attributes make him a curious transfer target for the Liverpool manager.

Klopp prefers his attacking midfielders to have the flexibility to rotate positions and at times drop deep to control things from the half-way line. He fancies a narrow style of football and seldom does one see a team managed by the German playing with out-and-out wingers. Even during his days at Borussia Dortmund, Klopp transformed Marco Reus from a winger to more of a central attacking midfielder. If Moura joins the Reds, we may see a similar transition in his positioning so as to make the most of the attacker.
