Mesut Ozil is being chased by Bayern while Arsenal are keeping tabs on Rodriguez and Tom Rogic.

After getting the early boost of confirmation of their new much needed signing Granit Xhaka in the centre of midfield, Arsenal fans are looking towards their club to add a few more quality players to their squad who can help them compete for silverware this season.

Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Ricardo Rodriguez situation very closely. The 23-year old left-back has become a target for Wenger and has been valued by his club Wolfsburg at €20 million. Rodriguez is also believed to be good friends with his fellow international Granit Xhaka. This Swiss connection might be a key telling factor in which club gets to land Rodriguez, who is highly sought after in Europe.

With Keiran Gibbs and Mathieu Debuchy failing to adapt to the expectation levels required at Arsenal, the signing of Rodriguez becomes ever so important as at the valuation the defender is available is a very good deal.

Another player who could find his way to Arsenal this summer is 23-year-old Australian midfield play-maker Tom Rogic. Arsenal scouts have been sighted tracking the progress and the development of the young Socceroo, who also featured prominently in the 1-2 loss to England in a friendly a few days back. It has also been understood by many journalists in Scotland that Rogic is also wanted by clubs like Fiorentina and Valencia. Rogic has managed to score 10 times in his 32 appearances this season. He would undoubtedly have a hefty price tag on his back as incoming boss Brendan Rodgers would like to keep the young Australian to develop his squad.

The developing story of Arsenal’s interest in the Australian midfielder Rogic can also be linked to the rumors of Mesut Ozil wanting to leave Arsenal. Not all is going to be positive for Arsenal this transfer window as there are players who have voiced their dissatisfaction and frustration at the end of this season. A lot of players in the Arsenal squad including Mesut Ozil and Petr Cech have felt the pinch of missing out on a possible Premier League title and consider the mentality and not the technical aspects of the game as a chink in the Arsenal armor.

Daily Star and The Sun have reported that the German playmaker Ozil, although having 2 years left on his contract, has refused to discuss a new deal with the bosses until the Euro 2016 finishes. This has only added fuel to the speculation that Mesut Ozil would be looking elsewhere as a possible career option. Although he has helped Arsenal end their trophy drought by winning the FA Cup twice in a row, his prime ambition has always been to win the league title in England and compete on a much higher level in the Champions League.

Arsenal v Bayern Munich

There have been reports coming in from Germany that Bayern Munich might look towards Mesut Ozil for his services which will no doubt be absolutely crucial if Bayern want to extend their domestic dominance to Europe. With Mesut Ozil’s tactical prowess and ability to create chances at will, his attributes help any team in getting a higher percentage chance of scoring a goal.

Hope and optimism for Arsenal fans as Wenger looks to seal the deal on a couple of more signings

Aston Villa vs Arsenal

Soon after the early unveiling of Granit Xhaka, Arsenal made their intention clear to follow a aggressive approach this window rather than a restrained one. For many years, Wenger has been criticized for following a sometimes overly cautious and miserly approach when it comes to signing players. There were many times he tried to explain to his fans and the media as to why he is so reluctant to sign players who are readily available to sign for Arsenal. Wenger has consistently maintained a rigorous transfer policy of extensively following and monitoring a player before signing him for Arsenal. To add to that, the pay structure that Arsenal maintain makes it even harder for the manager and the owners to close the deal on new signings. However, this transfer window Arsenal fans will hope that the deals required will be wrapped up before the season kicks off.
