Liverpool have a busy summer ahead of them in the transfer window and the Reds are wasting no time in completing moves for prospective targets. Reports suggest they have submitted an official bid for Udinese’s Piotr Zielinski and are also looking to complete a shock swoop for Manchester City’s Joe Hart.

Udinese’s sporting director Cristiano Giaretta recently confirmed interest from Liverpool towards the club’s Polish international, Piotr Zielinski, with Italian sources claiming a bid in the region of £12 million has been officially submitted by the Reds.

“There is interest from Liverpool and it is concrete interest. He [Piotr] is doing very well and has the eyes of the Premier League on him,” Giaretta was quoted as saying to Radio Punto Zero.

The Italian also confirmed Napoli expressed interest over signing the central midfielder but claims the player’s sights are set on a potential move to the Premier League.

Following a fruitful season out on loan at Empoli, Zielinski is attracting the attention of clubs across Europe with Liverpool being favourites to land the signature of the midfielder. Italian daily Gazetto Dello Sport claim Liverpool have moved in early to secure a summer move for the 21-year-old as soon as possible, especially before the player jets off to France for the Euros. In a break-through season, Zielinski has featured in 35 games for club and country, netting in 4 goals and setting up 6 in the process.

Since his debut for the Polish national side in 2013, he has gone on to establish himself as a mainstay in that midfield and is certain to play a crucial role in the European championships for the Biale Orly. With the likes of Joe Allen set to leave the club in the summer, Jurgen Klopp will be keen to add some quality into Liverpool’s midfield and their pursuit of Zielinski represents a step in the right direction for the Reds.

The Reds could make shock swoop of Joe Hart

With Pep Guardiola set to take the hot seat at Manchester City next season, rumours continue to fly around the club’s movements in the transfer market. The current Bayern Munich boss has long expressed an interest towards acquiring the services of German shot-stopper, Marc Andre ter Stegen. That has fueled talk of a potential move in the summer for the 24-year-old from the Catalan powerhouse to the English giants, where Guardiola takes over next term.

There has been constant speculation of ter Stegen making a switch to the Premier League with Liverpool previously linked with the Barcelona man. However, should the German eventually sign for Manchester City in the summer, the Reds aren’t eliminating the possibility of luring Joe Hart away from the Etihad to the fabled abode of Anfield. The England international continues to be the Three Lions’ and Manchester City’s first choice goal-keeper and his record with both club and country testify to his status as one of the best in the business. Liverpool are also linked with a potential move for FC Koln’s Timo Horn with the Reds desperate to find a solid goalkeeper to take the reigns from Simon Mignolet, whose errors in goal have lost the Reds many a point this season.
