Arsenal FC fans have both good and bad news on the injury front, with defenders Per Mertesacker and Gabriel likely to be fit for the weekend FA Cup clash against Watford. However, Aaron Ramsey could be out for up to 4 weeks due to an injury.

Arsenal turned around a run of 4 games without a win in all competition when they beat Hull City 4-0 away from home in the FA Cup replay.
However, the win came at a cost, with defenders Per Mertesacker, Gabriel Paulista and Aaron Ramsey all going off injured. With Petr Cech and Laurent Koscielny already out, Arsenal fans feared that injuries to their key players could once again disrupt their season.

Wenger reveals good new on injury front

However, both Mertesacker and Gabriel will be back for the game as per reports in Sky Sports. The German defender has recovered from a blow to the head, while Gabriel is expected to be back in training today.
Laurent Koscienly is also expected to be fit for the tie, with Wenger revealing that he will consult his medical team before taking a call regarding his involvement in the game.
He was quoted as saying by Sky Sports: “I will take advice from the medical people, and after that if he is available I will do it”

Ramsey blow for Gunners

Midfielder Aaron Ramsey was the other player who came off injured against Hull, and Wenger has revealed that while the Welshman will not be back in action as fast as he initially expected, he will not be out for very long either.
Wenger was quoted saying that Ramsey will be out for up to a month. He said: “No, he’s not out for the season. I don’t think that.

“His clinical signs are quite positive, and I would say four weeks. It’s a bit worse than what i thought because usually when a player gets injured he stops – I had the feeling it was just a precaution and he would be fit for Sunday.”

Besides Ramsey, Arsenal will be without the services of goalkeeper Petr Cech and midfielders Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Santi Cazorla.
