Following Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Swansea City at the Emirates stadium, Gunners fan Piers Morgan took to twitter to express his anguish at Arsene Wenger for losing three important points to keep them in the title run and at par with their North London rivals.

The defeat resulted in another meltdown of the TV host as the hashtag #WengerOut began trending in Twitter again, as the lower-half Swansea City side took control of the game against the title contenders.

The Gunners fans have stuck with Wenger since their last title-winning season of 2003-04, seemingly hopeful of a repeat of the ‘Invincible’ season.

Amidst all the calls to throw the Gunners boss out, Piers Morgan made an important revelation as he tweeted that Pep Guardiola wanted to take up the job at Arsenal with Thierry Henry alongside  as his assistant.

Morgan adding fuel to the fire

In the past, during his time with German champions Bayern Munich, Pep Guardiola made no secret of the fact that he admired the English side and would like to manage them if he moves to the Premier League.

Both Manchester United and Arsenal were an option for the 45-year-old Spaniard, but last month Manchester City announced his expected arrival to Etihad in the coming summer.

According to Piers Morgan, Guardiola was keen to replace the Frenchman in charge at the Emirates, and it would have been an added advantage if Thierry Henry worked beside him.

It’s unclear as to why the TV host waited for a loss against Swansea to reveal this piece of information. Another question that pops up is whether or not he would’ve made this information public on Twitter, had Arsenal won the game.
