Leicester City have been flying high this season, and their star striker Jamie Vardy believes that the Foxes just need to carry on playing as they have been all season long, in order to win the Premier League.

One big factor in being considered an underdog is that the Leicester City players did not have to face as much pressure as the top clubs to perform consistently well, with many expecting them to fail at each turn. Leicester City have been able to build their game through the season without the burden of having to protect a reputation unlike the league giants.

However, if they do make it to the Premier League title, the Foxes will be hailed as one of the best surprise stories that we’ve seen in a long long while. This is why Vardy believes that the Leicester City can play their football and enjoy it at the same time as well.

“We’re just enjoying it, aren’t we? We’re just enjoying the ride,” Vardy was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror. “If you start thinking about it too much it’s going to affect you, it’s as simple as that. We’ll just continue to do exactly the same thing we’ve done all season.”

Can the Foxes avoid being cannon fodder?

Leicester City have some difficult fixtures left in the Premier League, and most of these matches are away from home. Visits to Arsenal FC, Manchester United and Chelsea FC are not seen as fixtures where they can afford to drop points.

First up, they have a difficult fixture away at the Emirates to negotiate this weekend — a tie that they had lost 5-2 earlier this season. However, that loss was suffered in Sempember, and manager Claudio Ranieri and his players have come a long way since then. Convincing wins over the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea FC have proved that the Foxes can perform well on a consistent basis.
