Robert Lewandoski’s agent has confirmed that the striker is renegotiating a deal with Bayern Munich as reports link him with a move to Real Madrid.

Robert Lewandoski’s representative, Cezary Kucharski, recently announced that he would be negotiating a new contract with his current club Bayern Munich. As reported by FourFourTwo.com, he dismissed all rumours of a suspected move away to another European giant, with Real Madrid and PSG frequently being linked with the Polish striker.

“Yes, we’ve started talking. I can confirm this,”, said Kucharski.

“I won’t talk about specifics, because it’s confidential.”

When asked about the rumours surrounding the striker’s future, the player’s representative said, “Real have not conducted talks over a transfer. It’s just speculation. Rumours around Robert show what a player he is. He’s known not only in Poland or Germany, but throughout Europe… There are no talks with PSG.”

He blamed the media for linking Lewandowski with other European giants, claiming that the player was in a club that suited him and that there is no need for a change in venue.

Bayern Munich hold on to their hitman

Lewandowski has been in scintillating form for Bayern Munich this season. The 27-year-old has scored 27 goals in 29 appearances for the Bavarians, including that incredible  record-breaking 5 goal blitzkrieg against Vfl Wolfsburg in 8 minutes and 59 seconds.

Since leaving Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer in 2014, Lewandowski has gone from strength to strength and has established himself in the first team. The confirmation from his agent should put the transfer rumours on hold temporarily but it would not be surprising to see a club break the bank in the future to acquire his services.
