Manchester United FC have gained 3 important points after delivering a crushing defeat to Stoke City FC at Old Trafford following amazing strikes from Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney.

Jesse Lingard’s header in the first half was the first goal that Manchester United FC have scored in the first half at Old Trafford in 2015-16 season, which also according to Carrick boosted their sides morale and enabled them to perform better.

In the post-match interview, Louis Van Gaal was full of praises for his team. He said, “I always like team goals and the second one was a team goal, building up from the back and then switching the play to the other side and then a finish like that, it was fantastic. I also liked the first goal because it was also a team goal – a cross from [Cameron] Borthwick-Jackson on his birthday, an assist and then Jesse [Lingard] coming in from the other side. I am very happy.”

LVG is impressed with Anthony Martial, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata

Anthony Martial earned much-deserved appreciation from the fans, media as well as the boss, after an amazing string of performances for the club.

An impressed Van Gaal stated in the press conference, “It is very much surprising when you are 19, now he is 20, and you come from the French league to the Premier League and you can do this when you are 19 years or 20 years old. You have a lot of potential to give then still.”

Wishing Rooney reaches Sir Bobby Charlton’s goal-scoring record at Manchester United FC, the boss said, “I hope he gets the record because when he scores we win.”

On Juan Mata making more appearances and starts for the Reds, Louis Van Gaal said,”He participated in all three goals, that’s also what I like to see. When he’s playing how he is playing now, then the chance is big for him to feature centrally more often.”

“When Mata plays like this, I cannot say to him ‘go to the bench,” he added.
