Chelsea FC have been struggling at the back, and have made a move to make amends for that by signing United States defender Matt Miazga from the New York Red Bulls.

The Chelsea FC centre-back duo of John Terry and Kurt Zouma went from heroes to zeroes in this season, with the Blues struggling for form. As Chelsea FC are struggling to keep themselves out of the relegation zone, they have brought Miazga into their team in order to boost their defence.

“I am very happy to sign for Chelsea, a world-famous club with a reputation for major success. I am delighted to be in the Premier League, the best league in the world, and can’t wait to meet my team-mates and get going,” Miazga was quoted as saying on Chelsea FC’s official website.

“I am still at the beginning of my career but I believe this is the place to develop and learn from some of the best players in the world,” said Chelsea FC’s latest 20-year-old acquisition.

Is Gary Cahill Moving Out?

The England international has been concerned about his chances of making it to the national squad for the Euro 2016, after having lost his place in the Chelsea FC starting XI to Kurt Zouma. While Cahill has signed a four-year-deal with the club, his future remains in doubt with the 30-year-old wanting more game time. The arrival of Miazga does not bode well for Cahill, as it means that he has yet another competitor for his place in the squad.
