Apart from a couple of exceptions, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid both head into their crunch clash at the Camp Nou with fully fit squads ready to play a part in one of their most important matches of the season.

There’s good new for Barca ahead of their top of the table clash against Atletico Madrid as two of their important players are ready to take part in the match. In the attacking front, Brazilian forward Neymar has been confirmed to be fit for the match against after suffering a knock in training while defensive lynch-pin Gerard Pique will be returning to action after serving a suspension.

The Blaugrana will be missing the services of speedy left back Jordi Alba, who is out with a muscle injury, and will be replaced by Frenchman Jeremy Mathieu. Former Atletico player Arda Turan suffered a bout of the flu earlier this week, but will be ready to play his first match against his former club, in most probability starting off on the bench.

As for Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone can field his first choice starting XI, with his squad not hampered by too many injuries. He will, however, be missing two of his impact attacking substitutes in the form of 20-year-old attacking midfielder Angel Correa, who is serving a ban, and veteran forward Fernando Torres, who will also most likely not be taking part in the match due to ankle problems, but will face a late fitness test to see if he can find a place on the bench.
