Normally, any manager would describe a 5-4 win as a defensive nightmare by their side. However, Jurgen Klopp is not someone who measures things normally, and he even suggested that Liverpool FC had defended well against Norwich City.

All hopes had seemed lost when Norwich defender Sebastian Bassong scored to make the score 4-4 in the 93rd minute. However, Liverpool FC dug deep into their mental strength to eke out a 95th minute winner, as Adam Lallana made the score 5-4 in the Reds’ favour.

They conceded four goals, which is a bit unusual for a team of Liverpool FC’s stature, but Klopp seems to believe that his team has defended well, in spite of conceding four goals.

“It may sound crazy when I say we defended better today,” Klopp was quoted saying on Sky Sports. “We’ve made different mistakes. If you win 5-4 it’s a funny story, but it’s not that funny. We have to solve it.

“Today we conceded four goals after set-plays, but we defended them better. We got all the goals after second ball set plays. Things like this can happen,” he further explained. “That’s how life is: solve one problem and you have another one.”

Klopp was happy to break his glasses

The German manager is well known for the passion he shows on the pitch, and that often translates into energy in his players’ actions. Klopp seems to have gone a bit overboard with his celebrations on the day, after the goal, as he got swarmed by a bunch of his players. However, he does not mind breaking the spectacles, saying that he was happy they’re broken.

“I don’t know, I saw nothing.Usually I have a second pair, but I couldn’t find them. It’s really difficult looking for glasses without glasses,” said Klopp.

This was not the first time that the 48-year-old had broken his glasses, as he had done the same thing during his time at Borussia Dortmund.
