Spanish champions FC Barcelona will look climb to the summit of the La Liga table when they host Basque club Athletic Bilbao at the Camp Nou on Sunday.

Barcelona head into the clash on the back of a Lionel Messi inspired 4-0 demolition of Granada in the league last weekend. Barcelona’s irrepressible trio of Messi, Suarez and Neymar will be hoping to do more of the same against an Athletic Bilbao side that currently lies 8th in the La Liga league table.

Arda Turan set to start against Athletic

Turkish International Arda Turan, who made his first appearance in Barcelona colours earlier this month, is set to retain his place in the first team ahead of Ivan Rakitic. Turan has slotted seamlessly into the Barcelona midfield and has already established a telepathic understanding with the Blaugrana’s South American attacking triumvirate. Another commanding performance from Turan in the center of the park against the Basques on Sunday will further enhance his reputation as one of the best midfielders in the league at present.

Dani Alves set to replace Aleix Vidal at right back

Brazilian International Dani Alves is set to replace new signing Aleix Vidal at right back for the Catalans on Sunday against Bilbao. Vidal made his much awaited league debut for FC Barcelona last weekend against Granada but will most likely make way for club veteran Dani Alves, who has made the position his own in recent years. Luis Enrique is expected to keep shuffling his pack ahead of a gruelling set of fixtures for his side over the coming months.
