Title holders Juventus have had a rocky start to the season so far in the Serie A, and it looks like they will make full use of the transfer window to recruit some exciting new players, one of whom is rumored to be a Manchester United midfielder.

26-year-old Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera seems to be unsettled at Manchester United after being excluded from the starting XI schemes of manager Louis van Gaal for most of this season, and this has attracted the interest of Italian club Juventus who could be looking to lure Herrera to Italy in the next transfer window, according to Spanish publication Fichajes.com.

Spain — England — Italy?

The Spaniard arrived at Old Trafford from former club Athletic Bilbao for a price of 37 million Euros and had a decent first season at the club, scoring 8 goals in 31 appearances and being a regular fixture in the starting XI.

This time around though, Herrera has hardly featured in the manager’s plans, despite making impressive showings every time he has been afforded the opportunity to play. He is very popular among the fans and seems to be enjoying life at the Theatre of Dreams, but this lack of game time could force him to seek greener pastures elsewhere. The interest shown by Italian giants Juventus will definitely be flattering.

Midfield Menace

Herrera is valued at 30 million euros and could be just the kind of player that Juventus need to bolster their midfield, but Manchester United will not be likely to let him go that easily. Despite not featuring for the first team on a regular basis, his talent has not gone unnoticed by the fans and the people associated with the club management.

Herrera can be a menace in the midfield with his passing ability, and is very good at setting up attacks and flying in crosses as well as finishing when the opportunity arises. Manchester United would do well to hold on to the Spaniard.
