Romelu Lukaku and Christian Pulisic return, but Mason Mount is benched for Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Wolves at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel has made three changes to the side that started in the 1-0 defeat to Everton last week as Chelsea get set to play hosts to Wolves at Stamford Bridge. There are no shuffles in goal, with Edouard Mendy retaining his spot between the sticks.

The central defensive unit also remains unchanged, even though Andreas Christensen if fit and available. Cesar Azpilicueta starts alongside Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger in the back three, with Christensen and Trevoh Chalobah the backup centre-backs on the bench.

Up ahead in midfield, Jorginho and N’Golo Kante’s absence has helped Mateo Kovacic return to the starting eleven. The Croat pairs up with Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the double-pivot in the middle of the park, with Reece James and Marcos Alonso being the two wing-backs.

The final two changes come in the offensive unit, with Kai Havertz and Mason Mount dropping to the bench. Christian Pulisic takes up Mount’s place, while Lukaku replaces Havertz. Lukaku will spearhead the Chelsea attack against Wolves, with Timo Werner and Pulisic playing off him.

Chelsea Starting Lineup: Mendy, Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger, James, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek, Alonso, Pulisic, Lukaku, Werner
