Luis Diaz has made way for Diogo Jota, while Jordan Henderson and Joel Matip also start as Liverpool get set to face Manchester City in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp has made three changes to the Liverpool lineup that started against Benfica in midweek for their away Premier League encounter against Manchester City.

The first alteration comes in defence, where Joel Matip comes in for Ibrahima Konate. He partners Virgil van Dijk at the back while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson continue as the full-backs. Alisson Becker continues between the sticks for Liverpool against Manchester City.

The second change is in the midfield department, where Klopp has opted to go for his captain Jordan Henderson in place of Naby Keita despite the Guinean’s impressive display against Benfica. Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara complete the three-man midfield unit for the Reds against the league leaders.

Finally, the third and final alteration is made in the frontline, where Diogo Jota gets the nod at the expense of January signing Luis Diaz. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane retain their spots in the starting XI. Roberto Firmino, whose involvement had been under some doubt earlier this week, is fit and available and is named on the bench.

Liverpool Starting Lineup: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Jota, Mane.
