Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford return, but Paul Pogba is on the bench for Manchester United’s Premier League tie against Everton at Goodison Park.

Ralf Rangnick has made half a dozen changes to the side that started in the 1-1 draw against Leicester City last weekend as Manchester United get set to lock horns with Everton at Goodison Park.

There are no shuffles in goal, with David de Gea continuing as the preferred choice ahead of Dean Henderson. Half of the changes come in the defensive line, with Manchester United captain Harry Maguire the only player retaining his spot. Maguire has Victor Lindelof as his central defensive partner, with Alex Telles and Diogo Dalot starting as the two full-backs.

Up ahead in midfield, Nemanja Matic replaces the injured Scott McTominay. Matic starts alongside Fred in the double-pivot, with Bruno Fernandes reprising the no. 10 role. With Fernandes dropping into his usual position, Paul Pogba finds himself dropping down to the bench.

Pogba’s place is essentially taken up by Cristiano Ronaldo, who will spearhead the Manchester United attack. Joining Ronaldo in Manchester United’s defensive setup at Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho, with Anthony Elanga, Pogba and Jesse Lingard the viable backup options.

Manchester United Starting Lineup: de Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles, Matic, Fred, Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Sancho, Ronaldo
