Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones return, while Joe Gomez gets a rare start as Liverpool prepare to take on Watford at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp has made six changes to the side that started in the FA Cup clash against Nottingham Forest as Liverpool get set to play hosts to Watford at Anfield. There are no shuffles between the sticks, with Alisson Becker starting ahead of Caoimhin Kelleher again.

The backline sees a couple of changes, with Ibrahima Konate making way for Joel Matip, while Andrew Robertson returns at left-back. On the opposite flank, Joe Gomez starts ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has only just resumed training. Matip starts alongside Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool defence.

Up ahead in midfield, Klopp has made wholesale changes. Curtis Jones, Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara return, with Naby Keita, Fabinho and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain making way. It will be interesting to see if Jones starts at the base of the midfield unit instead of Henderson.

As for the offensive unit, Mohamed Salah replaced Harvey Elliott as the only shuffle. Roberto Firmino will continue to spearhead the Liverpool attack, with Diogo Jota starting on the left flank. Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz will be backup attacking options on the bench.

Liverpool Starting Lineup: Alisson, Gomez, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Jones, Thiago, Salah, Firmino, Jota
